Edward L. Pipkin is a native of Dallas Texas. His academic accomplishments began early, first matriculating through DISD, becoming a proud product of James Madison High School. He later went on to graduate from Jarvis Christian College, while double-majoring in Biology and Biblical studies he also has a Masters of Theology (ThM) and an Earned PhD Allied Health.

Edward L. Pipkin is a Proud Veteran who served in the US Army for 15 years and US Army Reserve for 5 years, graduating from the US Armed Forces Medical School for Allied Health, and the nursing program at St. Mary’s College. He completed his FA Surgical internship at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital. In addition to his academic record, Bro Edward Pipkin has served in numerous roles as a National Evangelist, National Adjutancy on the National, State and Local levels of the Churches of God in Christ, both in the United States and Germany.

Elder Pipkin was honored to serve as Administrative Assistant for Saintsville Sanctuary COGIC under the illustrious leadership of the late Bishop J. Neaul Haynes, Texas Northeast #1 for many years. As a National Evangelist, he has had the opportunity to preach on domestic and foreign soil. As a former minister of music, praise and worship leader, choir director, he was often summoned to facilitate praise and worship conferences.

With the grace of God, September 28, 2008 he founded and is still pastoring Word & Worship Church Of God In Christ. Pastor E. L. Pipkin serves in many critical roles in Texas Metropolitan Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop R. L. Williams, serving as Administrative Assistant, Chief of Staff/ Executive Board member and Superintendent of the Genesis District.

Supt. Pipkin's Co-founded The Life Line of Prayer, this ministry has grown from 8 local prayer warriors to having a presence in 14 states and 5 foreign countries with anywhere from 40 to 70 intercessors praying daily for the needs of our nation and abroad. This prayer ministry has spawned several other prayer lines which led to The Prayer Line Alliance which Supt. Pipkin serves as Leader, Founder, & Visionary.

As impressive as the Elder’s academic and evangelical records are, neither compare to his greatest accomplishments of being a dedicated, loving father to his two sons Torian and Xavier.
